KINGS COUNTY, CA – According to the CHP, one person was killed in a vehicle crash into a canal in Kings County on Friday.

Officers responded to a crash at Highway 41 and Omaha Ave, northeast of Kettleman City, at 3:45pm. According to witnesses, the vehicle swerved before it went off the road and into an adjacent canal.

According to officials, the car’s sole occupant, a male, did not survive.

Drugs or alcohol may have been involved in the incident. An investigation is still underway into the crash.
