Fresno, CA -Fresno County woman killed in semi-truck crash identified
FRESNO, CA – On Thursday, the Fresno County Coroner’s Office identified the woman killed after a semi-truck crashed into her car in Fresno County.
The 71-year-old driver stopped at Manning and Marks avenues on Wednesday evening before proceeding into the intersection, ending up in the path of an oncoming semi-truck that crashed into the vehicle. A medical examiner pronounced the driver dead at the scene.
According to officials, Guillermina Carapia Lara, 71, was killed in the accident.
There were no injuries to the truck driver. An investigation is still underway to determine what caused the accident.
