Hit-and-Run Lawyer in California
Around 6,000 pedestrians die in traffic-related incidents each year in the United States. About 15% of pedestrian fatalities occur here in California. While our lawmakers consistently work to protect pedestrians, they are still victimized on a daily basis. Pedestrians are often hit by distracted, impaired, and reckless drivers. Despite our efforts to keep others safe on the road, we cannot anticipate whether other motorists will take into consideration our presence.
Accidents with vehicles can lead to serious injuries. In accidents involving pedestrians, the chances of suffering injuries are higher since they are not protected against the force of vehicles. Losing a loved one is difficult under any circumstances, but knowing that he or she died in an accident that was preventable only makes the situation even worse. When pedestrians are killed in preventable accidents, their families can seek legal guidance from wrongful death attorneys in California.
