Coalinga, CA – 1 killed in Coalinga off-road vehicle crash
COALINGA, CA –According to the California Highway Patrol, an off-road vehicle he lost control of and crashed early Sunday morning has killed a man. A local hospital called police around 3:00 a.m. to report that a patient had died from his injuries following an off-road vehicle crash near Phelps and Calaveras avenues. The man was driving at an unknown speed along the dirt shoulder of Phelps Avenue before he lost control and flipped the car.
Upon arrival at the hospital, the driver was pronounced dead. A passenger in the off-road vehicle also suffered moderate injuries.
At this time, it is unknown whether drugs or alcohol played a part in the crash.
