Fresno, CA – Bicyclist survives after being hit by a vehicle in Fresno
FRESNO, CA – According to Fresno police officers, a vehicle struck a cyclist in central Fresno Thursday morning.
The bicyclist, who police identified as a man in his 20s, was riding on Blythe Avenue at 7:00 a.m. Authorities say the bicyclist ran a red light at Clinton Avenue when he was struck.
Police say the victim was transported to a local hospital with multiple broken bones. Police say the driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
Police do not believe drugs or alcohol played a role in the incident.
