Chico, CA – A big-rig crash injured a woman on Highway 99
CHICO, CA (March 04, 2022) – A big-rig crash on Highway 99 on Wednesday afternoon, injuring one unidentified woman. According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident occurred on Highway 99 about two o’clock in the afternoon close to Eaton Road.
A Toyota RAV4 and a semi-truck collided while heading south, according to authorities. After impact, the RAV4 veered off the highway and smashed into the fence at the back of Almond Tree Mini Storage.
Following the impact, the female Toyota driver suffered minor injuries and was eventually picked up by a friend who refused to go with medical personnel. The driver of the semi-truck was not injured.
To allow cleanup and preliminary work, part of the highway was temporarily closed. Officials in Chico continue to investigate the big-rig crash on Highway 99.
