San Bernardino, CA – Pedestrian Fatally Struck by Vehicle on I-215 near Palm Ave
San Bernardino, CA (January 17, 2022) – A pedestrian accident reported in Friday evening in the San Bernardino area claimed one person’s life. At around 8:22 p.m., on January 14, emergency crews were called to assist on-site at a crash on Interstate 215.
Reports from authorities show that a pedestrian was walking on the northbound side of the interstate when they were struck by a vehicle in the area after the Palm Avenue and Kendall Drive Exit.
California Highway Patrol officers arrived on-site and immediately secured the area.
The pedestrian sustained fatal injuries in the accident. Authorities pronounced the victim deceased at the scene.
The driver of the vehicle was not injured. The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with CHP officers.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
