Rialto, CA – Edwin Herrera Injured in Crash with Train at the S Lilac Ave Railroad Crossing
Rialto, CA (January 005, 2021) – One driver was left injured as a result of a traffic-related incident in the Rialto area on Saturday afternoon. Just after 2 p.m., on January 1, the Rialto Police Department was notified that a crash took place on South Lilac Avenue.
Reports from the Rialto PD show that a BNSF freight train was traveling through the Lilac Avenue railroad crossing when it collided with a vehicle.
The driver of the vehicle, identified as 30-year-old Edwin Herrera, suffered injuries in the accident. He was transported to a local hospital for medical care.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
