Bakersfield, CA – Two Dead in Head-On Crash on Wheeler Ridge Rd
Bakersfield, CA (December 30, 2021) – A head-on collision in Bakersfield on Tuesday, December 28th killed both drivers and put four more, three of whom were children, in the hospital.
Reports show that, at about 10:15 p.m., a man driving an Acura northbound along Wheeler Ridge Road in the area of Valpredo Avenue, plowed into oncoming traffic where he collided head-on with a Honda carrying two adults and three children under the age of 10.
The driver of the Acura, a 28-year-old man from San Diego, and the driver of the Honda, a 34-year-old man from Frazier Park, died at the scene.
The passengers of the Honda were transported to Kern Medical with major injuries.
