West Stanislaus, CA – Semi-Truck Collision Causes Injuries on I-5 near Stuhr Rd
West Stanislaus, CA, (July 23, 2021) – A serious traffic collision occurred in West Stanislaus County on the evening of July 22 that prompted an emergency response. The wreck occurred between at least one semi-truck and an Amazon truck, according to reports.
Officials including police, fire crews, and paramedics were immediately dispatched to the scene in order to assist those involved. Once they arrived on-site, located on Interstate 5 near Stuhr Road, they found that a fire had started due to the collision.
At least one person required emergency transportation by helicopter to the hospital due to injuries, specifically burns, according to various sources. No one involved has been identified at this time.
Officers with the California Highway Patrol responded to the scene at approximately 7:15 p.m., and the roadway was closed for several hours afterward as crews continued to investigate and clear the area. Local drivers on I-5 traveling in the vicinity of Stuhr Road were asked to find alternate routes for the time being.
