Taft, CA – Fatal Traffic Crash with Semi-Truck at Lokern & Hwy 33 Takes One Life
Taft, CA (June 28, 2021) – A fatal traffic accident occurred Sunday, June 27, in Taft. One person, identified as a 22-year-old Taft resident, lost their life in the collision.
According to information from officials, the wreck occurred at Lokern and Highway 33 while the victim was traveling west, stopped at the intersection of Lokern & Hwy 33. A semi-truck was headed north on the highway when the victim, who was driving a PT Cruiser, attempted to turn left into the path of the big rig. The Cruiser was struck on its left side at around 12:13 a.m. on June 27.
The driver, whose name has not been released at this time, lost his life at the crash scene. The driver of the semi-truck sustained no injuries.
