Bakersfield, CA (April 08, 2021) – The pedestrian who was struck by a car and killed in February in southwest Bakersfield has been identified as 25-year-old Elizabeth Ann Wiseman, a resident of Bakersfield.  

On Sunday, February 28, at about 6:40 p.m., California Highway Patrol Officers responded to the area of South Union Avenue near Belle Terrace after being notified of a car striking a pedestrian.

Upon their arrival, officers discovered Wiseman with critical injuries. She was transported to Kern Medical where she later died from her injuries.

According to the Kern County Sheriff’s Office, a postmortem showed that Wiseman’s cause of death was multiple traumatic injuries.
