Fresno, CA – Aaron Rivera Killed in Bike Accident on N. Cedar Ave
Fresno, CA (February 11, 2021) – A man who endured serious head injuries when a vehicle collided with his bicycle in central Fresno on Monday, February 8th passed away in the hospital a short while later.
A report from the California Highway Patrol officers states that at about 2:30 p.m., a bicyclist heading eastbound on North Cedar Avenue in the area of East Brentwood Avenue was struck by a southbound Toyota Camry.
The bicycle collided with the front of the vehicle, throwing the rider up onto its hood. The victim, who has since been identified as 55-year-old Aaron Rivera, a resident of Fresno sustained extremely severe head injuries.
He was transported via ambulance to a nearby trauma center where he later succumbed to his injuries.
Speed and driver intoxication are not believed to be factors in this incident.
