Bakersfield, CA – Two Killed in Car Crash on Ming Ave near Union Ave
Bakersfield, CA (February 19, 2021) – It was confirmed by the Bakersfield Police Department that two people have lost their lives after their involvement in an auto accident that occurred in Bakersfield on February 17. According to officials, the crash occurred at around 10:30 p.m.
Sources reveal that the location of the collision was on Ming Avenue near Union Avenue. Upon their arrival at the scene, officers found that one driver had left the roadway and struck a utility pole so hard that it broke in half. They then struck another object that tore the car in two.
One man was ejected from the vehicle and one woman was found inside. They were both pronounced deceased at the scene of the accident. Their names have not been disclosed.
Two other men involved sustained major injuries. They were transported from the site of the crash to the nearby Kern Medical Center.
The incident remains under investigation. Closures in the area resulted in traffic delays for several hours after the accident occurred.
