Bakersfield, CA – Ricky Allen Py Struck & Killed by Vehicle on Edison Highway
Bakersfield, CA (February 13, 2021) – An automobile accident in the Bakersfield area claimed the life of one man on Thursday evening. At around 8:45 p.m., on February 11, the California Highway Patrol responded to the scene of a crash on Edison Highway.
Reports from the CHP show that 59-year-old Ricky Allen Py was struck by a vehicle on Edison Highway near the Mount Vernon Avenue overpass.
Py sustained fatal injuries as a result of this accident. Emergency crews arrived at the scene and went to work on securing the area as medics rushed to the victim. However, the extent of injuries was far too severe. Py was declared deceased at the scene. At this time, the circumstances surrounding the accident are under investigation with the California Highway Patrol.
