Warning for All Drivers of Potential for Assault

Riverside police state that a woman was involved in a rear-end accident on December 23 in the 5700 block of Sycamore Canyon Boulevard. The accident victim reported that another driver had “bumped his car into her car” after she slowed down at a traffic light. The victim pulled over to the side of the road. The driver of the other vehicle used a knife to rob the woman. He also attempted to assault the woman sexually. She was able to fight off the man who escaped traveling southbound on the 215 Freeway.
According to the report, the suspect appears to be between 30 and 35 years of age with a slight build and ungroomed facial hair. He is approximately five feet and seven to eight inches in height. He was driving an older model dark green SUV with a broken passenger side mirror.
