Fresno County, CA – CHP reports two people killed in crash in Fresno County
FRESNO COUNTY, CA – The California Highway Patrol is looking into a collision they claim killed a man and a woman this afternoon on a country road in Fresno County. Two people died in this tragedy, and the adjacent neighbors said there needs to be action taken because tragic incidents at North and DeWolf avenues happen frequently.
The two occupants of the sedan—possibly in their 20s—were killed instantly on contact, according to CHP Sergeant Christopher Swanberg. The Nissan Altima was stopped at the stop sign for Dewolf when the Freightliner was going east on North Avenue. For whatever reason, the Altima’s driver veered into the intersection and then directly in front of the Freightliner.
According to CHP officers, they don’t think alcohol or drugs were a factor in today’s collision.
