Los Banos, CA – CHP: Woman dead in Los Banos after colliding with an electricity pole
LOS BANOS, CA – The California Highway Patrol said that a woman was killed on Monday after her truck struck a utility pole. Officers were dispatched to the intersection of Dickenson Ferry and El Capitan School roads at around 3:30 p.m. for a report of a collision. Officers arrived to find a 55-year-old Los Banos lady receiving CPR from emergency personnel. She was pronounced dead at the scene from her injuries, according to the investigators.
Officers claimed that after conducting an investigation, they discovered that the woman had been traveling along Dickenson Ferry Road when she allowed her truck to deviate off the road. The woman, according to officials, overcorrected her steering to the left, which resulted in her losing control of her truck. The woman was expelled from the truck after it overturned and struck a utility pole. According to police, the woman was not buckled up at the time of the collision.
It is not believed that drugs or alcohol played a role in the collision.
