Fatal Car Crashes in California
Being seriously injured in a car crash can have a lasting impact on the lives of the victims as well as those who depend on them. Over 270,000 automobile accidents take place in our state every year. While we want everyone involved in an accident to walk away unharmed, this is not usually the case.
Vehicle crashes in California alone cut short the lives of more than 3,200 each year. Most of these accidents are the result of driver inattention. Statistics show that reckless driving, speeding, negligence, drunk driving, and other careless actions while operating vehicles account for 80% of car accidents every year.
Losing a family member is hard no matter what the circumstances. That the accident that killed them could have been avoided makes the situation even harder to bear. Not only are families made to endure mental and emotional suffering, but they are often required to pay tens of thousands of dollars for medical treatments, property damages, funeral services, and more.
