Modesto, CA – Man Killed After Being Struck by Car on I St near 7th St
Modesto, CA (October 16, 2021) – One man lost his life in a fatal auto-pedestrian crash that happened in Modesto on the morning of Tuesday, October 15. Reports indicate that the wreck occurred at about 5:44 a.m.
Initial information from officials states that the collision took place on I Street near Seventh Street while it was still dark, approximately 90 minutes before sunrise. A westbound SUV struck a male pedestrian, pinning him underneath the vehicle.
Firefighters extricated the man shortly after arriving at the scene. He was rushed to an area hospital where he later lost his life. His identity has not been released at this time as authorities continue to investigate.
