Vehicle Accidents in Bakersfield

Approximately 900 pedestrians are killed yearly in traffic accidents throughout California. Over the years, there has been a significant increase in the number of people who are seen walking, running, and generally traveling by foot. It is no surprise that California’s fatality rate for pedestrian accidents is nearly 25% higher than the national average. Regardless of the many actions taken to protect pedestrians traveling through our state, the number of fatalities each year continues to increase.

Oftentimes, pedestrians are struck by vehicles operated by negligent drivers. This can include drivers who are distracted, impaired, and reckless. Although it is possible to be vigilant in order to protect ourselves and others who are sharing the road, unfortunately, it can never be guaranteed that other motorists are going to take us into consideration while driving. These accidents often have an overwhelming impact on surviving family members who are left to endure the many challenges of an unexpected loss.
