Fresno, CA – David Cabrera Killed, Two Injured in Head-on Crash at Fowler & Harlan Aves
Fresno, CA (July 7, 2021) – A 28-year-old man died on Monday evening, July 5, after a DUI accident that occurred on Fowler Avenue.
Officers with the Fresno Police Department say that the deadly accident happened around 9:30 p.m. near the intersection of Fowler Avenue and Harlan Avenue. According to reports, the man was driving a Ford Ranger truck northbound on Fowler Avenue when he and the driver of a black Chrysler sedan collided.
Due to the impact of the collision, the man was pronounced dead at the scene. He has since been identified as David Morales Cabrera. Medics airlifted the second driver to Community Regional Medical in critical condition. The driver sustained very serious injuries, per reports from EMS units. Paramedics also transported a man in the passenger seat to an area medical center but say that he sustained minor injuries.
The investigation is ongoing, and officers are still piecing together the events causing the collision.
