Bakersfield, CA – Fatal Motorcycle Accident on Edison Hwy Near Sterling Rd
Bakersfield, CA (June 17, 2021) – Police aware called to investigate the scene of an accident that caused the death of at least one person on Wednesday, June 16th in East Bakersfield.
The California Highway Patrol stated that the crash occurred at about 5:00 a.m. on Edison Highway, in the area of Sterling Road when a Ford SUV driven by Isabel Morelos Lopez, 23, turned onto Edison Highway right in front of a motorcycle, which crashed into the SUV.
The motorcyclist, a 38-year-old male, sustained serious injuries. He was transported via ambulance to Kern Medical where he later passed away due to his injuries.
This accident is under investigation.
