Bakersfield, CA – Pedestrian Fatally Injured in Crash on Calloway Dr

Bakersfield, CA (September 7, 2020) – An accident on the northwest side of Bakersfield claimed one person’s life. At approximately 9:30 p.m., on September 2, the Bakersfield Police Department responded to the scene of a fatal accident on Calloway Drive.

Reports provided by authorities show that a male pedestrian was walking across the roadway in the 2700 block of Calloway Drive when he was struck by a vehicle.

The man sustained fatal injuries in the accident. Emergency crews attempted to provide life-saving measures to the man at the scene of the accident but were unsuccessful. The man ended up passing away as a result of his injuries before leaving the site of the accident.

The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and cooperated with law enforcement immediately following the accident. At this time, the police in Bakersfield are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.
