Los Angeles, CA – Pedestrian Killed by Metrolink Train on Lindley Ave

Los Angeles, CA (July 31, 2020) – One pedestrian lost their life in an accident involving a train in the Northridge area on Thursday morning, according to reports. At approximately 6:40 a.m., on July 30, the Los Angeles Police Department responded to the scene of a collision in the 8600 block of Lindley Avenue.

Reports provided by the police show that a pedestrian was walking on Lindley Avenue, near the intersection with Parthenia Street, when they were struck, by the Metrolink VLC Line 102 train. The pedestrian sustained fatal injuries in the accident. Emergency medical personnel responded to the site of the crash but located the victim deceased at the scene. The victim was subsequently declared deceased by the Los Angeles County Coroner. The police and firefighters secured the scene of the crash until after 9:50 a.m. as they began preliminary investigations into the cause of the crash. At this time, investigations are ongoing with officers at the Los Angeles Police Department as well as the Los Angeles County Coroner.
