Merced, CA – Police say a driver on fentanyl caused a head-on collision in Merced
MERCED, CA – Merced police reported that three people were hospitalized after a woman under the influence of fentanyl crashed into their vehicle.
At approximately 10:00 a.m. on Friday, officers responded to the area of Parsons and Gerard avenues to investigate a head-on collision. Officers arrived to find an adult and two juveniles injured inside a car. A local hospital treated all three of them for serious injuries.
Investigators learned that Patricia Garrett, 24, had been driving under the influence of fentanyl when she veered into the opposite lane of traffic for an unknown reason. Garrett’s truck ended up in the path of the oncoming car, slamming head-on into it.
