Madera, CA – An accident involving multiple vehicles leaves one person dead
MADERA, CA – According to California Highway Patrol officers, one person died in a three-vehicle accident on Highway 41 and Avenue 15. In the early morning hours, CHP Madera officers responded to a report of a crash involving an ambulance. Officers from the California Highway Patrol arrived on scene to find three vehicles and a deceased woman.
According to police, a Toyota Corolla and a RAM pick-up truck were traveling northbound and the Corolla hit the pick-up, sending it into the southbound lane and colliding head-on with a BMW. The Corolla driver died as a result of his injuries, and the BMW driver was transported to a local hospital. According to the CHP, both drivers sustained major injuries. There were no injuries to the driver of the pick-up truck.
The cause of the crash is still being investigated, but CHP officers say alcohol does not appear to have been a factor.
