Merced, CA – Police report death of man after motorcycle slammed into parked car
MERCED, CA – Police in Merced say a motorcyclist died after colliding with a car on Saturday night. A motorcycle was involved in a crash with a parked car around 6:30 p.m. near Bear Creek Drive and Glen Avenue. Officers arrived to find a 34-year-old man and a 27-year-old man injured.
Officials report that the older of the two men died after being taken to a local hospital. According to investigators, the second man remains hospitalized, but his condition is stable at this time.
It was discovered during the investigation that both men had been riding the same motorcycle. The motorcycle crashed into a parked car along the curb for an unknown reason.
According to police, alcohol may have been a factor in the crash, but the cause is still under investigation.
