Fresno, CA – A Fresno County woman died in a crash involving a semi-truck
FRESNO, CA – California Highway Patrol reports that a semi-truck crashed into a woman’s car in Fresno County Wednesday night, killing her.
An officer was dispatched to the area of Manning and Marks avenues in response to a report of a car crash involving a fuel-hauling semi-truck around 6:40 p.m. Police found a middle-aged woman’s car with fatal injuries when they arrived on the scene. The accident resulted in her death at the scene.
A police investigation revealed the woman had yielded to a stop sign before proceeding into the intersection, ending up in the path of the semi-truck. According to officials, the driver of the truck was not injured and there was no stop sign at the intersection.
Investigations are still underway to determine the cause of the crash.
