Fowler, CA – A fiery crash closes HWY 99 around Manning Avenue, leaving one dead
FOWLER, CA – After a deadly fiery crash near Fowler, traffic on northbound Highway 99 was backed up.
A crash occurred around 7:30 a.m. near Manning Avenue on Highway 99 northbound. According to the California Highway Patrol, a 53-year-old man from Sanger caused a car in the next lane to be forced into the back of the trailer when his truck moved to the next lane over. As a result, both vehicles caught fire, killing the driver.
An injured child was also transported to a local hospital with minor to moderate injuries, according to CHP.
