Cajon Pass, CA – Freeway closure caused by fatal motorcycle accident on SB I-15
CAJON PASS, CA – On Saturday morning, the southbound I-15 freeway was completely closed in the Cajon Pass due to a fatal motorcycle accident investigation.
The accident occurred on the SB I-15, near Kenwood Avenue and north of Blue Cut, at 8:48 a.m., on June 25, 2022.
The California Highway Patrol incident log indicated that the motorcycle was reckless before it collided with the white vehicle, and that the rider was lying down in lanes of traffic. Upon arrival at the scene, an emergency vehicle pronounced the rider dead.
Due to the investigation, all lanes of Cleghorn Road were closed, causing a massive traffic backup. The traffic was backed up for over two hours. The CHP logs indicated that the closure was to be picked up about 10:46 am.
The collision is being investigated by the California Highway Patrol.
