Wrongful Death Lawyers in Bakersfield

More than 2,900 people are injured in truck accidents throughout Southern California each year. Commercial vehicles can weigh up to 80,000 pounds, which means they have the potential to cause catastrophic injuries to victims involved in collisions. This is particularly true when victims are traveling in smaller vehicles. The mental, physical, and emotional consequences of semi-truck accidents are often overwhelming. When vehicles overturn after collisions, it usually indicates that one or both vehicles were traveling at a high rate of speed. High-speed accidents are more likely to leave victims with broken bones, brain injuries, and spinal cord injuries, all of which require extensive medical treatment.

There are many instances where car accidents are caused by the actions of other motorists. These accidents can include people texting or using cellphones while driving, drunk driving, speeding, ignoring traffic control devices, and engaging in unsafe driving behaviors. To make matters even worse, victims often face stacking medical bills, lost wages, and thousands of dollars in bills to replace or repair their vehicles. When victims are injured in collisions resulting from negligent and reckless drivers, they should reach out to a truck accident attorney in California as soon as possible. Victims may be entitled to compensation to help alleviate the financial burdens they face moving forward.
