Wallace, CA – Female Driver Killed in Two-Car Crash on Hwy 12 near Wards Ave, Camanche Reservoir
Wallace, CA (December 12, 2021) – One woman lost her life in a car accident reported on a highway in Wallace on the morning of December 9. Just before 11:00 a.m., the deadly crash was reported to officials in the area who promptly responded to the scene.
Sources say the crash occurred between two vehicles on Highway 12 near Wards Avenue south of the Camache Reservoir. Reports indicate that the unidentified woman was headed east on the highway in a 2005 Dodge Neon when, for unknown reasons, she was involved in a crash with Michael Fredrickson, who was driving a 2007 Chevrolet Silverado at the time.
The two vehicles collided head-on. The force of the impact pushed both vehicles off of the road onto opposite shoulders, police said.
Fredrickson was moderately injured in the wreck. It was raining at the time, however, police are working to determine if the weather was a contributing factor.
Authorities continue to investigate the details of the incident.
We would like to offer our sincere condolences to the family of the deceased woman at this time. Nothing further has currently been reported.
