Modesto, CA – Deadly Three-Vehicle Crash at McHenry & Sylvan Aves Under Investigation
Modesto, CA (September 19, 2021) – At least one person died in what appeared to be a three-vehicle accident on McHenry Avenue in front of the Target store on Sunday evening, September 19.
Officers with the Modesto Police Department blocked McHenry Avenue between Sylvan Avenue and Woodrow Avenue after the 5:30 p.m. crash. Initial reports state that the accident involved a car and two pickup trucks, and the person who died was traveling in the car.
On Facebook, the MPD called the crash major-injury with one fatality. There was no immediate word from police on the circumstances of the wreck, however, including how many people were involved and the extent of their injuries. Multiple ambulances were spotted on the scene and appeared to transport at least one victim to an area medical center.
Officers are still investigating and have not released further details.
