Modesto, CA – Fatal Hit & Run Takes One Life on River Rd & Ryder Way
Modesto, CA (August 6, 2021) – Authorities in Modesto have identified the vehicle involved in a hit & run that took one life on Monday. Information from officials states that the wreck happened just before 7:30 p.m.
Police and paramedics responded to the area of River Road and Ryder Way to investigate the collision. At the scene, police found a bicyclist with injuries lying in the roadway.
The bicyclist, whose name has not been released, lost their life at the scene. Crash investigators believe that the cyclist was traveling west on River Road when a black, early 2000s Chevrolet Tahoe struck him.
A surveillance photo of the suspect’s car was released on Wednesday, August 4. Later the same day, detectives stated that they had found the vehicle involved in the crash.
