Bakersfield, CA – Two Killed, One Injured in Wreck on Hwy 65 near James Rd
Bakersfield, CA (July 27, 2021) – Two people lost their lives and a passenger was seriously hurt in a crash that occurred on a highway in Bakersfield on Saturday, July 24. At approximately 1:00 p.m., police and paramedics were dispatched to the scene in order to assist those involved.
According to information from reports, the incident occurred on Highway 65 near James Road when the driver of a Dodge caravan traveling south drifted into the northbound lane for reasons unknown. There, the Dodge was involved in a head-on crash with a Chevy suburban.
Both drivers lost their lives at the scene, according to officials. A passenger present in the Suburban at the time was transported to an area medical center with serious injuries.
