Bakersfield, CA – Fatal Car Wreck on Golden State Ave near SB 99
Bakersfield, CA (June 6, 2021) – A traffic accident turned fatal near Golden State Avenue and southbound 99 in Northwest Bakersfield on Sunday, May 6. At approximately 6:50 a.m., authorities with the California Highway Patrol and paramedics were sent to assist at the scene.
According to reports, the incident occurred near Golden State Avenue and the southbound 99 in northwest Bakersfield. According to information from officials, a vehicle was found with a deceased male individual inside of it.
Authorities say that the vehicle was headed north in the southbound lanes of the 204 just south of the 99 when the driver drove into construction equipment and into an area closed to the public.
Police in Bakersfield continue to investigate the circumstances of the incident. No further information is available at this time.
