Bakersfield, CA – One Killed In Truck Accident on Famoso Porterville Highway
Bakersfield, CA (January 11, 2021) – One person has lost their life following a motor vehicle accident on Sunday evening in the Bakersfield area. According to reports, during the evening hours of January 10, emergency crews were called to the site of a crash on Famoso Porterville Highway.
Reports from the California Highway Patrol show that at around 9:30 p.m., a 32-year-old man from the McFarland area was driving a silver 2007 Chevrolet pickup truck south on Driver Road. As the vehicle passed through the intersection with Famoso Porterville Highway, it collided with a 2013 Freightliner truck.
The driver of the Chevrolet was fatally injured in the accident. Authorities declared the victim deceased at the scene. Two people inside the Freightliner were treated for minor injuries. At this time, the crash remains under investigation.
