Motorcycle Accidents in California
Motorcycle accidents claim the lives of more than 500 people each year. Another 14,000 motorcyclists are left to endure overwhelming pain and suffering from injuries. Motorcyclists are completely exposed during collisions, which drastically increases their chances of broken bones, brain injuries, and debilitating spinal cord injuries that demand extensive and costly medical treatment. To make matters even worse, injured motorcyclists are often forced out of work for several months or even years as they recover.
If you are involved in a motorcycle accident, you will most likely be approached by insurance companies who appear to be on your side only to try to pursue you to encourage you to accept lowball settlement offers. Accepting an offer from an insurance company may not be in your best interest. Quite often, insurance companies offer the minimum amount of compensation to accident victims as a way to encourage them to sign over their legal rights. This often prevents victims from getting the compensation they need for medical treatment, lost wages, and various other costs they face from their accidents. Instead, it is crucial to reach out to a motorcycle accident attorney in California as soon as possible. You may have options available to help you move forward after being harmed in an accident.
