Fresno, CA – PD: 3 teens involved in stolen car crash arrested in Fresno
FRESNO, CA – According to authorities, three youths were detained after reportedly wrecking a stolen car in Central Fresno. Authorities claim that on Friday about 2:30 p.m., Southwest Police District officers used the LoJack® technology to find a stolen vehicle in their patrol area and called for assistance from the Fresno Police Department blimp. According to authorities, they found the stolen car, a gray Dodge SUV.
Officers claim they did not start a pursuit when the driver fled when they attempted to halt the car. A second officer attempted to stop the SUV as it passed through the Central District with the help of the blimp, but the driver kept driving south on Delno Avenue and Indianapolis Avenue in Fresno. According to authorities, the driver then struck another vehicle that was traveling east. Police said that following the collision, three young suspects fled the scene but were quickly apprehended.
None of the people inside the second car were hurt.
