Tulare County, CA – An accident involving a bus in Tulare has left two people injured
TULARE COUNTY, CA – According to the California Highway Patrol, a bus on Highway 99 Wednesday morning crashed over a railing, injuring two persons. Officers responded to a complaint of a bus and semi-truck collision at the intersection of Highway 99 and Bardsley Avenue at around 3:30 in the morning.
When the firefighters arrived, they discovered a 23-passenger Greyhound bus that had plowed through a guardrail next to the highway.
Two bus passengers were transported with minor injuries to nearby hospitals. The Tulare City School District bus that was dispatched to the accident scene was able to keep the remaining passengers warm.
Officers claimed that after conducting an investigation, they discovered that the bus’s driver had attempted to pass the semi-truck but had instead crashed into the back of it. The bus veered into the center median and collided with the guardrail as a result of the collision. Traffic on the highway was backed up after the incident.
