Hesperia, CA – There was a crash on SB I-15 between a semi and a tow truck
HESPERIA, CA – The southbound I-15 was backed up for many miles Tuesday night due to a collision between a semi and a tow truck in Hesperia. California Highway Patrol was alerted to a crash south of US Highway 395 at 7:43 pm on August 23, 2022.
R&B Logistics’ tractor-trailer and an Air Expressway tow truck were traveling side-by-side when the semi drifted into the path of the tow truck and crashed into the guardrail.
During the investigation, CHP officers temporarily stopped traffic on SB I-15 for approximately 25 minutes. There was moderate front-end damage to the tow truck, but no visible damage to the semi. Traffic was backed up to Main Street by 8:18 pm after lanes 1, 2, and 3 were reopened. The investigation is being handled by the Victorville CHP station, and there were no injuries reported.
