Madera, CA – Police say a suspected DUI driver crashed into a Madera vineyard
MADERA, CA – The Madera police are investigating after a driver suspected of driving under the influence crashed into a vineyard early Saturday morning.
Around 2:30 a.m. a neighbor notified authorities that a vehicle had ended up in a vineyard. A 21-year-old driver, Marc Mendoza, was traveling south on Westberry Boulevard when he failed to complete the turn onto Almond Avenue, striking some vineyard equipment in the process.
Mendoza was stopped by officers as he attempted to flee the scene. Mendoza was booked into the Madera County jail on DUI charges.
