Fresno County, CA – 2 hospitalized after violent car crash in Fresno County
FRESNO COUNTY, CA – California Highway Patrol reports two people were hospitalized following a car crash in Fresno County on Sunday afternoon. The officers were called to the area of Clayton and Chestnut avenues around 4:00 p.m. after two vehicles were reported to be involved in a crash.
A pick-up truck cab was overturned in the front yard of a nearby home, and an SUV was stuck on top of a chain-link fence and gate when officers arrived. The officers also found the bed of the truck ripped off by the impact of the crash on the front lawn.
During the crash, two people were trapped in their vehicles and had to be extricated by firefighters. They were both taken to a local hospital with moderate injuries.
Officers say they do not believe drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash, but the cause is still under investigation.
