Highland, CA (February 02, 2022) – A head-on collision on Highway 330 resulted in the deaths of Andrea Lynn Hilscher and Jessica Baltierra on Monday, January 31st.

According to police, the crash occurred in the northbound lanes of Highway 330, in the area of Highland Avenue, at about 1:15 p.m.

California Highway Patrol officers said that the driver of a southbound 2013 Hyundai Accent drifted into oncoming traffic and ran head-first into a northbound 2009 Toyota Prius.

Due to the impact, the driver of the Toyota lost control of the vehicle and slid down an embankment on the righthand shoulder.

The coroner’s office later identified the drivers as 38-year-old Hilscher, a resident of Arrowbear, and 26-year-old Baltierra, a resident of San Bernardino, who both died at the scene.

We would like to offer our deepest condolences to the families of the deceased victims at this time.

Fatal Car Accidents in California

California car accidents prematurely end the lives of more than 3,200 each year. Most of these accidents are the result of driver inattention.
