Tractor-Trailer Accidents in California
Nearly 3,000 victims are killed or injured in tractor-trailer accidents throughout Southern California every year. Commercial vehicles can weigh up to 80,000 pounds, meaning they have the ability to cause catastrophic injuries when an accident occurs. This is particularly true when victims are traveling in smaller vehicles.
Even though most truck vehicle accidents are avoidable, they continue to have negative impacts on the drivers with whom they share the road. Commercial vehicles are far larger than other vehicles, which increases the odds of them causing severe injuries to the occupants of another vehicle.
In most cases, victims sustain traumatic injuries that require hospitalization, therapy, and various types of medical treatment both presently and long-term.
