Sacramento, CA – Two killed after car crashes into tree

Sacramento, CA (January 14, 2022) – A car crashed into several trees in North Sacramento on Wednesday, killing two people, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Two people were ejected from a Toyota Prius after it crashed around 1 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 12, when the driver couldn’t make a turn along the offramp of Raley Boulevard due to speeding. 

The CHP said the driver was 35-years-old but did not reveal his identity. 

It is unknown whether drugs or alcohol played a role in the fatal crash.
