Fresno, CA – A semi-truck collides with a train in heavy fog in southeast Fresno
Fresno, CA (January 12, 2022) – According to California Highway Patrol officers, a semi-truck and a train collided in foggy conditions in southeast Fresno on Wednesday morning.
The California Highway Patrol’s Mike Salas said a slow-moving BNSF freight train was crossing Maple Avenue near Jensen`Avenue around 8:30 a.m. There were flares placed on the road when a big rig struck the train, cutting the brake lines to the train.
Speed and foggy conditions may have contributed to the big rig colliding with the train.
