Cerritos, CA – Crash involving six vehicles, including FedEx truck, kills 1 at Cerritos intersection
Cerritos, CA (January 07, 2022) – Authorities said there was a violent multi-vehicle crash in Cerritos Wednesday morning that killed one person and injured two others.
Six vehicles, including a FedEx delivery truck, were involved in a pileup shortly before 9 a.m.
Firefighters, paramedics, and LASD deputies responded in large numbers after the crash trapped several people inside their vehicles. One of the survivors was taken to a hospital in unknown condition, the Los Angeles Fire Department reported.
An AIR7 HD video showed a dark-colored sedan mangled almost beyond recognition after it apparently collided with the right side of the FedEx truck. Nearby, debris and packages were scattered.
Investigators with the sheriff’s department said the collision occurred because one of the drivers did not stop at the intersection, and that there were no skid marks on the asphalt. There were no citations or arrests announced Wednesday morning.
