Tulare, CA – Man Loses Leg in Traffic Collision
TULARE, Calif (December 22, 2021) –
TULARE COUNTY, Calif. – One man was taken to the hospital after losing part of his leg in an accident Thursday morning.
Around 6:42 a.m., deputies responded to the area of Road 96 and Avenue 144 in Tulare County for reports of a man in his late 30s sitting by the side of the road. Sheriff’s deputies arrived to find the man had been in a crash and one of his lower legs had been amputated.
The first responders put a tourniquet on his leg, but he was bleeding heavily. It is not known what his condition is.
Both vehicles involved in the crash were located nearby, and the other vehicle remained at the scene.
According to the officers, the victim appeared to be under the influence of drugs.
